Our Programs

The Nyack Center offers a variety of community programs focused primarily on supporting youth and families in the Nyack community. We offer fee-free and sliding-scale before-school and after-school programs, summer camp, teen programs, and much more.

  • Breakfast Club

    The Breakfast Club provides 44 children Grades K-6 with nurturing, educational and recreational activities, plus a nourishing breakfast before school [Free]

  • After-School Program

    Our after-school program provides 87 children Grades K-8 with an after school snack, help with homework, and opportunities for enrichment & recreation.

  • Tutoring Program

    A Collaboration between Nyack Public Schools and Nyack Center, our tutoring program brings together experienced English, Math, and SAT tutors with middle and high-school students to help them achieve their academic goals. [Free]

  • Health and Wellness Project

    Inspired by our generous donors Peter and Rebecca Lang, the health and wellness program gives our after-school students the opportunity to join an extra class focused on their social and emotional wellbeing ( yoga, cooking, kickboxing, and more) [Free]

  • Camp Nyack

    Located at Marydell Faith & Life Center, Camp Nyack run by Nyack Center provides a unique low cost camp experience. Campers spend the summer swimming, doing yoga, dancing, creating art, hiking, gardening doing arts an crafts in this breathtaking setting. Camp begins July 5 until August 11 from 8:30-3. Campers must be entering first grade-entering sixth grade. [Sliding Scale}

  • Teen Summer Classes

    Summer classes for teens at Nyack Center provide oppoertunities for enrichment in the summer months. Classes include-Dance/HIp Hop/AfroBeats/ Latin, Film Production, Sound/Music Production, Drama, & Music Lessons Starting July 5th running through August 11.[Free]

  • Teen Council

    As a part of the Teen Council, teens meet twice a month virtually to further positive change in the Nyack community by organizing events for other teens, social justice actions, and workshops. Participation qualifies for community service credit. [Free]

  • Nyack Youth Collaborative

    Over 40 youth service organizations in Rockland County meet once a month (currently over zoom) to improve the county’s network of services and activities for youth and families, share information about services, and address gaps in service accessibility. [Free]

  • Nyack Center Computer Lab

    A free drop-in for all community youth with computers and tutoring available. The computer lab is a space to do schoolwork-research, write papers, work on special projects, etc. with assistance as needed. [Free]

  • Friday Night Teen Nights

    Friday Teen Nights is a program run by teens, for teens to participate in the performance arts and socialize in a substance-free environment. [Free]
